LBN 531 / Barnard 175 – Wolfs Höhlen Nebel

In the constellation Cepheus lies this beautiful dark nebula surrounded by numerous dust filaments. At the tip of the nebula is the reflection nebula LBN 531 / VdB 152, also known as the Cave or Wolf Cave Nebula. The red H-alpha filaments belong to the supernova remnant SNR G110.3+11.3.

Im Sternbild Kepheus liegt dieser schöne Dunkelnebel umgeben von zahlreichen Staubbändern. An der Spitze des Nebels liegt der Reflexionsnebel LBN 531 / VdB 152 auch Höhlen- oder Wolfshöhlen-Nebel genannt. Die roten H-alpha Bänder gehören zum Supernova Überrest SNR G110.3+11.3.
